Welcome to Hardwar
It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to participate in National Seminar on “Global Warming – Its Impact on Environment, Economy, Society and Politics” being organized under the auspices and sponsorship of Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology. The Seminar will be held on December 27-28, 2008. It will provide a forum for the presentation of views by eminent academicians and interaction with experts.
Hardwar is well connected to major cities of India by rail and road. It is about 200 km. from Delhi, 50 km. from Dehradun and 140 km. from Meerut on NH-58. S.M.J.N. [PG] College is located at Ranipur More and about 2 km. far from Railway as well as Roadways Bus Stand. We, therefore, extend our cordial invitation to you to participate in the Seminar and also request you to contribute a paper on any of themes given below.

About the Seminar:
Environmental problems have attracted attention of a wide section of the people almost in all countries of the world. Due to environmental hazards people are suffering from various unknown diseases. Man is the most important creature of nature and will have to use his mind to correct his own mistakes done in the form of pollution and global warming. We are facing the greatest challenge to our intellect and wisdom for saving humanity from extinction. The proposed seminar is the step to discuss the issue on scientific platform about the impact of global warming and to find out the ways to save the environment of the earth and human race.

Submission of Papers
Participants are requested to send their abstract by 14th December, 2008 in the following format.
Text - 250 – 500 words
Font - Times New Roman / Kruti Dev 011
Font Size – 12 Spacing - Single
Copies - one hard and one soft [CD]
Participants are also requested to submit the full length paper for publication of proceedings.

REGISTRATION FEES
Till 14th December, 2008
for locals Rs. 250
For others Rs. 500
After 14th December, 2008 for all participants Rs. 700
Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Principal, S.M.J.N. [P.G.] College, Hardwar. Three-Tier AC rail fare will be paid only to the resource persons. No TA will be paid to delegates by the organizing institution, so they are advised to get themselves sponsored by their institutions.
