STUDY COURSES

BOTANY:
The following courses are offered to the students:
B.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry and Zoology [Three - year degree course]
[All admissions to this course - as per rules and regulations of HNB Garhwal University and the college]
Course Titles of Botany and maximum marks in examination, 2008-
In examination of every Part, there will be three papers of theory and one practical. Maximum marks for every paper is 50.
B.Sc. Part-One-
Paper-I: Fungi, Microbiology and Elementary Plant Pathology, Paper-II: Algae and Bryophytes, Paper-III: Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Elementary Palaeobotany; plus Practical
B.Sc. Part-Two
-
Paper-I: Taxonomy of Angiosperms, Paper-II: Anatomy, Embryology and Elementary Morphogenesis, Paper-III: Ecology and Biostatistics; plus Practical
B.Sc. Part-Three
-
Paper-I: Cytogenetics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Paper-II: Physiology and Biochemistry, Paper-III: Economic Botany and Plant Breeding; plus Practical
Each theory paper will be divided in 3 sections. Section-I will consist 16 objective type questions each carrying 1 mark. Section-II will consist 7 short-answer questions each carrying 2 marks. In Section-III, student will have to attempt any five long-answer questions each carrying 4 marks.
